Overview
About Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD)
In Canada every province has its own education system. The OSSD is the Ontario Secondary School Diploma. In other words, it is the diploma students get when studying in the province of Ontario. It is accepted by universities all around the world. We have partnered with Braemar College in Toronto, Canada to provide students with a fast and efficient online OSSD post-secondary pathway into top Canadian colleges and universities.
Course Duration
The OSSD is a four-year high school diploma (grades 9 to 12). If you have completed some portion of high school in a different province or country, you would be given credit for the work you have done. So, if you have completed the equivalent of grade 10 in your home country, you would, when moving to an OSSD program, continue at the grade 11 level.
If you have completed O levels (IGCSE), you would typically be granted the equivalent of grade 11 in the Ontario system. Placement tests in Math and English might slightly increase the number of credits required, but, in general, a student who has completed O levels would complete the OSSD in one academic year.
