About International Foundation Year (IFY)
IFY is a qualification designed with NCUK partner universities to prepare international students who have completed KCSE, IGCSE, A-Levels, International Baccalaureate Diploma among other qualifications a direct pathway into top universities in the UK, USA, Canada, New Zealand and Australia. This qualification prepares students for the first-year entry to undergraduate degree courses in any of the NCUK partner universities worldwide and beyond.
Universities worldwide and UK ENIC (European Network of Information Centres) formally recognises the NCUK International Foundation Year as a comparable level to GCE A Level; Australian high school (SSCE); American high school (AP); and Hong Kong high school (HKDSE) qualifications.

Subjects Studied
Like A-Levels, you choose three academic subjects from the list below depending on which degree you want to study at university. Our Academic team will be able to provide further details on how to choose subjects for the most preferred outcome. You will also study one of our English for Academic Purposes modules which gives you the academic English language skills needed for university.

With the International Foundation Year, you can progress to more than 9,000 degree subjects at top-ranked universities worldwide leading to careers in Medicine, Mechanical engineering, Psychology, Sports Science, Robotics among many more.
Entry Requirements
IGCSE/O-Level
Successful completion of 5 modules with grades of CCCCC or grades of 4 or above (to normally include Mathematics and English).
KCSE
Successful completion of 5 modules with grades of CCCCC or above (to normally include Mathematics and English).
Middle Year Programme (MYP)
Successful completion with a total of 34 points or more with a grade of 5 or more in both Mathematics and English. Students must have completed eAssessment as well.
AS Level
Two E grades from a UK A-Level board.
A-Level
One E grade from a UK A-Level board.
International Baccalaureate
Successful completion with a minimum of 22 points.
How to Apply
Prepare your documents
Be ready with your high school certificate, identification document (passport/birth certificate/national ID) and passport size photo (digital or print).
Fill application form
Complete the necessary information on the application form.
Submit documents & application form
Submit your documents to us for review and processing, either physically or via email (info@iupceducation.com).
Receive your offer
Once the documents have been fully reviewed, you will receive your offer letter detailing more information about the programme you have registered for.
Accept offer and pay deposit
Accept your offer and pay the required deposit to begin your course.
